Luca Little at Burgunder Bar Bern

This was very close to the living room concerts, I keep dreaming of. A small, cosy bar in Bern, a latte macchiatto and the most delicious ginger honey tea, sitting with friends on a sofa at bar and listening to Luca Little and his band (this time as a trio with bass player Benji and drummer Markus).

This time it was emotionally less “bad” last November at Musigbistrot during the first concert after almost a year 😉 They eyes stayed dry. Just sitting, enjoying, silently singing and humming along, tapping with the feet. “Hello hello I’ve known this place so long before” as a start my favourite song from the album “Lion”. For tourfinal Luca came once again to Bern, to Burgunder Bar. A small bar, which was already full, when I arrived 2 hours before concert start. Actually way too early, but it wasn’t really worth it to go home after work and so I got a seat for sure. Usually I prefer standing, but in such a small bar it’s different. There you are quickly standing in someone’s way. 😉 And besides my couch corner was pretty perfect.

The setlist was made of different songs from all three albums. They hadn’t played “Blue Maze” in a while and so their bass player was thrown in a deep end already for the second time. But finally no problem. And with bass the song final of “Shuffle my heart” suddendly sounded very different – not so electronical, for me a lot better. First there was some chatting going on in the bar, but as soon as Luca got down from stage and played “Something wrong” accoustically, it became all silent. And because this was so nice and it worked out so well, he added “What are we doing” the same way. Just great! Only that the two sets were over way too soon.

And with not knowing any further concert dates, no dates we could look forward to (even if it was taking some time), it felt so sad again, like with the tour final of “Locomotion”. But by now one is luckily finding dates on the website again. And tonight already in Bern again.
