Tomorrow the moment has arrived. The 4th studio album of the Biel Band will be released. Love & Gunfire. The next chapter begins.
On 4th July 2009 at Neo1 Openair I’ve seen Pegasus for the first time live. If I remeber right, I didn’t know the band at all before. Noah Veraguth as lead singer on guitare and piano, Gabriel Spahni on the bass, Simon Spar on guitare, Stefan Brenner on the drums, back then Dimitri Kindle on the keyboard, nowadays it’s Christian “Gigi” Wild on the keys. Back then I didn’t thin, that Pegasus wil be one of my top bands one day, I’d count them to one of my absolutely favourite bands.
PEGASUS 2009 @ NEO1 Openair Huttwil
After release of their first album (A Place to Be) in 2007, among other things they became DRS3 Swiss Top winners and were chosen as Newcomer of the year by Suisa foundation. In 2008 their album “Heroes & Champions” followed. next to many openairs, they played as Suport act of Coldplay back then at Stade de Suisse Bern and became Best Newcomer National in 2009 winning their first Swiss Music Award. With the release of their album “Human.Technology” they emerged very quickly and my fan being became more intense. Within a year I visited 20 concert all over Switzerland. The setlist and the whole show you almost no by heart then. It was a crazy, but incredibley great and intresting time. I probably got a ton of photos with them (yes, they are incredibely nice and patient!) and experienced the most incredible moments. Not only I got to know their music and shows better during this time, but thanks to them I met numerous people from the management, crew and from the audience. It’s huge fun and with each concert they manage to create great atsmosphere – with their music, pop/rock songs paired with folk, electro and synthies, their shows, their quirks… with “Human.Technology” and the olympia song “Skyline” they catapulted themselves to the top and got another Swiss Music Award in 2013 (for “Skyline” -Best National Hit). Last years the five of them toured with Hurts through Europe then, played already several own concerts abroad and fullfilled a dream by playing a series of special arranged concerts at KKL with the 21st Century Orchestra.
So we are curious on the new album “Love & Gunfire” and where the journey will go. My goal is for sure to see them live abroad then and of course to continuing to support them. I just love Pegasus.
