After Undiscovered Soul had successfully ended their crowdfunding-project and they were soon off to LA for Muse Expo and their album recordings, they played another concert at Panoramacenter Thun. Sounded great, such a free concert on Eastermonday in the middle of a shopping centre and concerts at shoppingcentres are usually totally relaxed. There were many people, but none was really stressed. And anticipaton to listen to the new songs again after the ep release show at Dachstock was big. But well, didn’t really work out as wished.
There were many familiar faces in the audience, but also people who stopped during shopping to listen to the Thun band. But honestly, the whole concert was a bit nerve wrecking, technically anyway. The whole ambience on the second floor of the shopping centre was very nice with the red lights. But soon technics started acting up. While Undiscovered Soul performed their songs as “Ask Me”, “Nothing” or “Tandem”, the speakers kept stopping to work. Suddendly you couldn’t hear them anymore.
Actually one would have thought, there were enough people to take care of it and make sure that the band could hold their concert and keep palying without problems. But didn’t look like anyone really took care of it. Stretching their necks a bit and looking at it, as if from standing around and starring any problem would get solved. The band jumped into the audience then to play all accousicly in the middle of them, with the hope the problems with all the stage technics could be solved inbetween. Well, still the Souls made the best of the situation as always. The audience was still thrilled even with the technic problems.
After also a signing took place, in a very unfamilair way. They pub up tables, sat the guys down. There were barriers standing around them and quite many security guys there. This I acutally only knew from Westlife (Irish Ex-Boyband) or Plüsch (ok, even on Plüsch there wasn’t a very big run). I admit, it can be a bit chaotic at times when Undiscovered Soul do signings after the concerts. 😉 There’s a big swarm around the merch stand or like at Kodaline just in the lobby around the standing tables, but the whole efford was a bit much for Thun. It was far from a big run. But who knows, possibly one day… so they can get used to it already 😉
All in all it was a great afternoon.
