A weekend at home

Well, that was a relaxed weekend at home. For once I didn’t have to travel far to see concerts. Al Pride came to Thun. I am a bit sceptical towards the Konzepthalle. Actually it’s a great location. Very special with the offices, restaurant and the stage inbetween. But the Thun audience just isn’t the best. From the three concerts I’ve seen there, I liked the one by Al Pride definitively the best. Well, not that the bands weren’t good – but the atmosphere, the audience, just everything around it, was great. Al Pride managed to get the most out of the audience. If you can call it like that. And the audience seemed thrilled by Al Pride. But it was really great. And during the concert I was thinking about the first time I’ve seen Al Pride back as Support of Pegasus. They advanced incredibbly great since and Astrid’s voice is fantastic. Yes, I’d say next to the cd release concert and the one at Bremgarten town festival, this one in Thun I liked best. They seemed in a good mood and totally relaxed. It was a lot of fun. On SwissMusicDiary.ch (sorry, only in German)  you can find my article about this concert, by the way.

On Satruday I went to town again. By an acquaintance I got a tip abaout a band called Daliah playing a street concert in Thun. And as I had no plans that day, I thought to just go and listen. There the five members of the band put up their equipment – including am and micro – and played two sets. During the first set it was ok. But already when they started playing the sun disappeared and it became quite cold. But yes, they went through the two sets. After I went back home a bit frozen but happy. I do like all the bands singing Englsih, but still it’s nice to discovere a new Swiss dialect band. And they are really good. Great melodies, beats and lyrics. Maybe I’ll be able during the rest of their tour to see them again. They are still during several Saturdays on tour through Switzerland.
