The 33th Energy Live Session took place at Harterei Zurich – with Adel Tawil. And we were part of it. I’ve seen Adel already in 2011 with ich+ich live and except of this “Lieder” is one of his actual hits. The excitment was big.
A bit late we entered the hall and the view wasn’t pleasant. As feared the Harterei was crowded. What now? To stay there in the back was quite stupid and so we changed the side of the hall. I then was totally surprised myself that there were not many people sidewards and we could get walk to the front without any problems – finally we stood in 2nd to 3rd row. This was easier than thought. What would you want more?
Just at our spot, Energy presenter Sascha Wanner entered stage and announced the ex-The Boyz and ich+ich member with his band. They started with “Immer da” from his last year released debut album “Lieder”, from which further tracks as “Weinen”, “Unter Wasser” or “Vermiss mich” follwed. Adel made an incredible relaxed and likable impression. He keept shaking hands, giving “High fives” and even wrote the one or other autograph in between for the front row. His German pop songs are very lyrical, genuine and touch. The band seemd to enjoy their acid test in Zurich – it was their first performance before their tour and it definitively went down well. Mixed with hits as the duett “Stadt” with his background singer and the ich+ich hit “vom selben Stern” he elated the audience. With loud chantings they immediately were taken back to the stage. And with the then everyone wished that it would stay like this – “so soll es bleiben” – and would have kept listeing the whole night.
Energy Live Session. Yes, it’s always fun, esp. if the got singers like Adel Tawil on stage. I immediately ordered the album on my way home and I am curious if we might get a concert date for Switezralnd soon. For sure the target is to go there then.
