With The Bianca Story in Neverland

Oww, seats in 3rd tier left. Just at the handrail. You shouldn’t be afraid of hights then… like me e.g… up there I didn’t feel 100% well actually. While seated it was luckily quite okay. And as soon as the lights went off, the music started playing, there I was enough distracted and charmed to not think about the hight too much. Off to Neverland!

In December it has been my first visit at the theatre, more exactly at the city theater of Bern. Back then for the premiere of the new “Peter Pan” play. Already then I’ve been fastcinated of the building. So much kitsch but still beautiful. With the imagination how it was 100 years ago, when the visitors sat there wearing their nicest Sunday outfits – seeing a play a ballet, been listening to an opera.

Last night I was there acompagned by a friend. And even though I’ve already seen it for a second time, I wasn’t less charmed and moved of the whole play. Through the Basel band The Bianca Story  I discovered the theatre at all. They are next to the handfull of actors part of the story. They mainly play the music for it, but also act as story tellers, are involved partley in the play. Can’t imagine a better suitable band than them. The music, the way they are… perfect for it!

Peter Pan is defintively one of my favourite stories. And therein Bern the few actors, all in double roles, they tell the original story in a new, modern and very exhilarant way. With loads of gags, charme and self-mockery. There so much to laugh, one is touched and all excited about it. Me, who never goes to theatre, was so thrilled what could be presented with the sceneries, lights and music. Really great. Too bad, there’ll be already the last show on 17.02.2016. Of course sold out. Would I not have been so busy over the last few weeks, I sure would have gone a thrid time to see. It’s a wonderful play!

But apparently The Bianca Story will be back at the studio soon. And latest with the new album we sure will get to see a few concerts of the band. Me and my concert comanion can’t wait for it. And who knows, maybe we’ll get to go to theatre even without The Bianca Story some time…
