It’s newmusicfriday – my favorite day. Here are five of my favorite releases this week.
Cat Burns – Live more & love more (Single)
“If there’s something you want to do, just do it! Don’t let your head stop your heart from moving”, Cat burns sings in her new wonderful song “Live more & love more” We just agree with her there? Life is so much easier when you do what you love!
The London pop/RnB singer with the recognizable voice and style has been known to a wider audience here in Europe at least since Ed Sheeran’s tour last year (read the concert review here). Skillfully and honestly, she deals in her songs with topics related to life, mindfulness and well-being. For example on her EP “Emotionally unavailable”, which was released in 2022.

KUNZ – Weisch no – Live unplugged (Livealbum)
Kunz live for the living room: The Lucerne musician was on tour with his 8-piece band last autumn and took us on a touching, funny and entertaining journey back into the past with his unplugged program “Weisch no” (Do you still remember?). It was an evening full of stories, music and “Weisch no?” moments. He recorded the special journey and is now releasing it as a live album. For everyone who missed the journey back then. For those who want to reminisce and relive the journey.

Amistat – Color in life (EP)
With “Color in life” Amistat (Catelan for “friends”) release a new, beautiful EP. A tribute to the people who bring color into their lives, be they friends, family or strangers. Born in Germany, raised in Italy and finally living in Australia, the twin brothers have attracted a lot of attention since their debut “Parley” (2019). With their folky acoustic songs and beautiful harmonies, they tell their stories and know how to transport their listeners to another world.
Starting tomorrow, Amistat will be on tour and will also stop by on 6th April at Dynamo Zurich for their “Color in life” tour. The concert is (unfortunately) already sold out.

Alexander Eder – Immer müde
Are you also always tired? The Lower Austrian pop musician Alexander Eder is teasing himself with the new, rousing single “Immer müde” (always tired) In the song, he admits that maybe he’s not quite the superhero one might think he is.
“Immer müde” is the latest single from his upcoming second studio album “Ganz normal”, which will be released on 5th May 2023. The former The Voice Of Germany candidate with the unmistakable deep voice has now gained almost 3 million followers with viral videos, emotional songs and entertaining clips and is one of the top 3 biggest music creators in the German-speaking world.
My goal is to see him live somewhere this year. He is known for his energetic live shows. Unfortunately, there is no concert in Switzerland up to now.

Andryy – Geisterfahrer (EP)
The Winterthur musician Andryy now summarizes the singles he released over the last year as his third EP “Geisterfahrer”. But with “Säg Mer” there is also a new song. With the seven dialect pop songs, the “SRF3 Best Talent” from November 2022 and current Swiss Music Awards nominee tells stories with depth about himself and his life. Have a listen!
